OAU Extends (Post UTME) Admission Screening Registration – 2016/17

This is to inform all aspirants (UTME) of Obafemi Awolowo University for 2016/2017 session that the deadline for the Post UTME/Admission screening registration has been extended.

The new deadline is 30th, July 2016 for both UTME and Direct Entry Candidates.

Verizon Has Bought Up Yahoo’s Assets For $4.8 Billion

Well, well, well. How have the mighty fallen. After a five-month long auction, Verizon has lapped up Yahoo’s assets for $4.83 billion. The sale excludes Yahoo’s cash, and its stake in Yahoo Japan and Alibaba. Moving forward, they’ll bundle it with AOL and “help accelerate Verizon’s revenue stream in digital advertising”.

Kano has attained 90 per cent vaccine coverage

Kano state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Kabir Ibrahim Getso, has disclosed that the city of that Kano has attained 90 per cent in terms of vaccine coverage and above average on quality of services.

He said: “When you look at the coverage rate in the state, we are really doing very well, particularly if you consider the 2016 coverage rate using administrative data rate. We have attained 90 per cent and even exceeded the national target of 80 per cent.”

Getso said Kano had no single case of polio mellitus in the last 24 months, a giant stride he attributed to strong political will of Governor Ganduje.
